Donate Now to Help Find a Cure for A-T!
WElcome to Team Avi.
IN 2009 when Avi was diagnosed with Ataxia Telangiectasia we were devastated but with time and the support of our family and friends we have learned to accept the challenges that A-T has given us and have choosen to "live life at it's fullest." Avi is doing remarkably well. He continues to enjoy traveling, all things disney and has been busy working/volunteering this past year. It is an exciting year for our familiy as Avi is a senior and will be graduating High school in June. On the fundraising front--WE will again be hosting our 10th (and final) Ride 4 Avi on Sunday, September 15, 2019 (more info at www.ride4vi.com) and will once again be participating in the WDW marathon weekend. We Would like to thank you for your support! Without you the ATCP cannot continue it's dedicated work towards finding a life saving treatment or cure for all of those who are affected by A-T. Wishing you all the best!!! -Ara and Kristen
WHAT IS A-T?
Imagine a disease that combines the worst symptoms of muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis, immune deficiencies, and cancer. Children with A-T are usually confined to wheelchairs by age 10 and often do not survive their teens. Because A-T is a multi-system disease, scientists believe that A-T research will help more prevalent diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, AIDS, and cancer.
