Garners go for the Cure
WHAT IS A-T?
Imagine a disease that combines the worst symptoms of muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis, immune deficiencies, and cancer. Children with A-T are usually confined to wheelchairs by age 10 and often do not survive their teens. Because A-T is a multi-system disease, scientists believe that A-T research will help more prevalent diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, AIDS, and cancer.
Pop, pictured here with Baba, had Parkinson's disease. He had many complications related to his disease which also contributed to his death. He was a terrific dad, husband and surgeon. A-T research helps children, but may also help adult mobility disorders, like my dad's (and brother who also has Parkinson's). Help us reach our goal and then help us exceed our goal as we move to raise money to help others move. All money donated goes to A-T research: none of it is used by any team runner for registration fees, lodging, travel or meals. It's is all for the children. It's all for the cure. Help us run for the cure. Our team includes my husband Mark, my nephew David and my Nephew James.
To donate simply click on the team runners name, you will be directed to their personal site for donations. Thank you so much.
