Join Me in Honoring Kailey's Legacy
In January 2025, I will be joining the A-T CureTeam as we take over Walt Disney World. I am running in honor of all children and young adults with A-T, and I invite you to be a part of this monumental journey with me.
My daughter, Kailey Fox, remains an incredible inspiration—a true guiding light in our lives. She was an accomplished and award-winning runner during her high school years. Running was the special bond that connected us deeply, a shared passion that became a powerful thread of love and strength in our relationship. Even now, as I train and prepare for each race, I feel her presence alongside me. Her spirit fuels my steps and reminds me of all that is possible. Her determination and resilience continue to guide and inspire us every day.
Although Kailey did not pass away from A-T, this remarkable organization has graciously sponsored my run. Through this marathon, I aim to celebrate Kailey's enduring spirit and honor her life. Her legacy is a beacon of possibility, lighting the way for all who seek hope and strength in the face of life's challenges. I know she watches over us all, granting us courage and perseverance when we need it most.
Last year's Walt Disney World Marathon was one of the most emotional chapters of my life. Crossing that finish line, I looked to the sky through tear-filled eyes, knowing Kailey was with me at that moment, cheering me on from above. After completing the marathon in Kailey's honor, I received a text message from my father expressing his pride in my accomplishment and acknowledging that he knew Kailey was with me. This message is something I deeply cherish, as it was the last message he would ever send me; he passed away a few months later after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.
